Poster for David Lynch's film Inland Empire (2006)

2022

A strong and distinctive film that will not leave the viewer alone for a moment. No room for pause.
The poster does not refer to the film based on visual similarity, the visuality is reduced to a minimum, the attention is focused on the other side: the transcendental part of the ideas it represents.

A gesture, a destructive act and, as a result, the burnt (by a cigarette) surface of the paper. The poster refers to a specific shot when the main protagonist of the film burns a hole in piece of clothing with a cigarette. The hole becomes a window, entrance to another plane of reality.

Surface of the paper is the medium. Film is the medium. Reality is the medium. With the hole in it.
