Design concept of (Czech) currency banknotes. The concept of banknotes arose as an attempt to express the symbolic value of money through a limited format.
Banknotes exist in four denominations: 9.99, 99.99, 999.99 and 9999.99 Czech crowns. Each of the banknotes has on one side the denomination in numbers and words, a verification code. On the other side, a stripe, in the case of the denomination 9.99. For the following denominations, the stripe increases. The back is completely printed for the denomination 9999.99. The surface of the printed area is covered with a metal layer that acts as a mirror and reflects the person holding the banknote. The larger the denomination of the banknote, the wider the area covered by the reflective layer.
The numerical values, in contrast to the existing ones, are adjusted to refer to the basic marketing trick with price tags, the use of the magic number 9.
